International Ewe Day Statement

INTERNATIONAL EWE DAY STATEMENT.

"Baaaah! Good afternoon. There will now follow an SLA statement on International Ewe (female sheep) Day.

There are many many effective and wonderful SLA members and activists who are Ewes.
The SLA sends greetings to them on this great day where we celebrate the struggle for Ewe Rights in the Sheep World.

It must be recognised that - in my experience and that of many - Ewes are even less inclined to be keen on intra-species destruction than male sheep.

Were there human women in the tanks at El Alamein making tea? No.
Were there human women at the Somme cheering? No.
Were there Ewes celebrating the slaughter at Lamburger Hill? No.

On a personal note - I would love to meet a Ewe for something other than just a frolic in the meadow one of these days. Ahem. Ahem. SLA membership not compulsory. Sometimes Ewes don't seem that friendly to me.

Baaah Banzai!!"
